Comprehensive, Diverse and
Balanced Curriculum

Our curriculum is varied and balanced, covering core
and additional interest subjects.

Each class will remain focused so that your children can absorb as much information as they are able.

We aim to inspire all our children, both for life and their future in education. The school will follow and extend the National Curriculum and pupils will take the statutory tests at Key stage 1 and 2.

Our aim is to contribute towards a smooth transition into secondary school and to nurture the skills and qualities that will ultimately shape their future. We hope your children will benefit from our committed staff together with a broad curriculum taught in a motivating but disciplined learning environment.

We will encourage your child to participate in sport, both for fitness and for social integration. We emphasise the importance of team spirit and give every child the chance to shine. P.E is an important part of the curriculum for all pupils. A range of after school clubs are available and are open to pupils of the school and the Local Community.

Winston House operates a House System throughout the school, the houses are Churchfields, Firs and Nightingale. We have a weekly awards system recognising kindness, helpfulness, punctuality, organisation, appearance, behaviour and initiative.
